If you own a Mac and want to print photos on a dye-sublimation printer, do not update to the latest operating system! This is because the printer drivers currently only support operating systems up to Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave. This currently affects all printer models from all manufacturers. Although CANON, CITIZEN, DNP, HITI, MITSUBISHI, SINFONIA, and others are working hard to update their printer drivers, it may still take weeks or months before this work is completed and functional drivers are available. And there is concern that the drivers will only be updated for newer printers, which means that some older\u2014but still fully functional\u2014devices may be left behind. <\/p>\n\n
Unfortunately, there is currently no official workaround for any of the thermal photo printers on the market, so as a Mac user, you\u2019ll have to wait to update to the latest OS X until an updated printer driver is available for the model you\u2019re using.
