That’s true, but after POLAROID stopped producing the film and closed its last factory eight years ago, a few resourceful people refused to accept the end of classic instant photography. They bought a few of the old production machines, rented space in the former factory buildings, and brought some of the former employees on board to carry on—or rather, to start anew. The seemingly impossible was achieved, and the company IMPOSSIBLE was born.
Today, IMPOSSIBLE produces film for the most popular POLAROID cameras and even offers a range of options that is unmatched in its variety and is sure to satisfy just about any preference. For example, instead of the single POLAROID 600 film that was available in the past, there are now no fewer than ten different IMPOSSIBLE 600 films! With these, in addition to the classic POLAROID photo with a white border, you can create instant photos with colored borders (including black, gold, and silver), trendy photos with a round inner border, or even monochrome (black-and-white) shots.
So if you still have an old POLAROID camera in the attic, why not bring it back to life? And if you’re not sure which model it is, or whether—and if so, which—IMPOSSIBLE film you can use in it: After opening the film compartment, you’ll usually see a sticker indicating the compatible film type (for example, “600” or “SX-70”).
