CITIZEN LinkServer is a new software program for Windows PCs. It was developed to simplify photo printing with CITIZEN’s CX-02 Compact, CX-02W, CY-02, and CZ-01 photo printers and to help you get the most out of them.
This free(!) program supports you with features for printer management, HotFolder automation, panorama printing, printer diagnostics, and print customization. It makes it especially easy to work with multiple printers, for example at events and in other situations where two or more printers are used simultaneously: Simply connect the desired CITIZEN photo printers to your PC. The software automatically detects all installed devices and displays them in a clear, organized dashboard. There, you can see the number of remaining prints, media sizes, print counts, and the status of the printers at a glance.
But it’s not just about keeping track of things: If you use multiple photo printers at the same time, it can be difficult to set up a printing queue that works efficiently. With CITIZEN LinkServer, this becomes a breeze: Using the HotFolder feature, you can designate a folder for image files that are to be printed automatically. Third-party applications can be used to place images in subfolders that represent different print sizes, for example. As soon as the images are in the HotFolder, the print jobs are automatically distributed to the available devices.
But even if you’re using just one printer, CITIZEN LinkServer is a real asset: The program makes printing more convenient than Windows’ built-in print function, as it clearly displays all options—including the ability to print impressive panoramic photos in various sizes using the CITIZEN CX-02 Compact or CX-02W.
