The ADOX CHS 100 II is an orthopanchromatic black-and-white film with a classic grain structure and tonality-optimized sensitization. Its edge sharpness and resolution are excellent and superior to those of almost all other classic black-and-white films of the same sensitivity.
It is produced from two emulsions in a single-layer structure and has a wide sensitivity range.
Thanks to its classic sensitization, the ADOX CHS 100 II offers a very harmonious and smooth gray-scale reproduction.
Compared to modern cameras, it offers better differentiation in portrait and landscape photography (lips versus face / clouds versus sky / water versus land).
The film is cast onto clear PET and can optionally be reverse-processed to produce black-and-white slide film.
Thanks to the coating on the back, the transparent film can be retouched with egg-based glazing paints.
