The CineStill 50D is currently arguably the finest-grained color negative film in the world. It also features an outstanding latitude. The CineStill 50D is based on Kodak Vision3 50D cinema film (camera film / cine film). However, CineStill has developed a process—for which it has filed a patent application—that allows the Remjet emulsion coating on the back of Kodak cine films to be removed. This enables the film to be processed using the C-41 process at any large-scale lab, specialty lab, minilab, or at home.
