Anyone who uses the HITI BS-iD 400 to print passport photos or other photos for identification cards, ID cards, and similar documents may already know that the consumables for this thermal printer have not been manufactured for quite some time. Since—as is the case with all dye-sublimation photo printers—the HITI BS-id 400 can only use materials specifically manufactured for this printer, we are unable to offer a compatible alternative to HITI’s BS-id 400 ribbon and paper; we can suggest a good solution: Replace the HITI BS-iD 400, which is no longer available, with the CANON Selphy CP 1300!
The Selphy series has proven itself over the years among many passport photo providers, and the current generation offers features and convenience that the aging BS-iD 400 simply can’t match. And if the thought of having to buy a new passport photo printer is giving you pause: The CANON Selphy CP 1300 currently costs about a quarter of what the HITI BS-iD 400 last cost. And here’s another bonus: The price per print is also significantly lower. While a 10×15 print cost about 0.39 euros with the HITI BS-iD 400, you’ll pay only about 0.23 euros for the same print with the CANON Selphy CP 1300! Both prices are net. Including VAT, that comes to 0.48 and 0.28 euros, respectively.
